Kosher salt vs. Morton's salt:
Please only use KOSHER salt for your everyday savory cooking. It has a higher water content than Morton's and is not iodized, which gives a much more natural flavor to foods and allows you to use less than you normally would with Morton's because Kosher salt grains are larger, allowing you to more evenly season your food. Morton's salt should only be used for baking as it's fine grains can be more easily incorporated into flour or sugar mixtures.
*Fine/Medium grain Sea Salt is also a nice alternative if you do not have Kosher.
Olive Oil:
PLEASE do not saute' your food with expensive Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You will not be able to enjoy the delicate difference in taste when it is cooked in this way. Use a basic olive oil such as Star Brand for cooking and your higher end oils for seasoning salad dressings or finishing a dish with a drizzle before serving.
